Retro Waves

August 19, 2010

Old Hollywood glamour is oh so popular right now. We are seeing this retro wave look on long hair and short hair, as well as styled up into a more formal updo. It can be as dramatic or as subtle as you like. Keep in mind these key differences between Beachy waves and Retro waves:

Beachy waves: loose, messy, tigher curl towards base and mid-shaft with straighter ends, curled vertically to give separation to curls

Retro waves: sleek, straighter towards base and ends have more curl and volume, curled horizontally to link all sections together and give the effect that it’s one big wave
